The work in short
Born in Montreal in 1965, Monet studied graphic design at Université Laval and worked in the field of fashion for several years, all the while pursuing a career in art and exploring several different mediums including mosaic, collage and acrylic.
A large part of Monet’s recent works feature a new and exciting approach to portraiture. Using collage as part of his method, the artist incorporates the text and images from old magazines and books into his works. Inspired by cinema, photography, music and literature, this new series featuring "artists" reveals the incredible strengths and personalities behind the faces on the canvas.
Last new : Andre has been chosen to make a portrait of Prince William and Kate Midleton, for their wedding. To learn more about it, click here.
